With fans spanning the globe, the Cincinnati Pops has performed the greatest hits from Tchaikovsky to Bruce Springsteen and everything in between since its founding in 1977.

“When we think about what the Pops is all about, it’s the music of America and beyond, all different varieties. Everything from bluegrass, rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, Broadway–it’s all great music,” says Pops Conductor John Morris Russell, who conducted his inaugural season in 2011-2012.

Popular music has been a longstanding tradition of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and the Pops has earned critical acclaim and legions of fans through tours around the world, millions of recordings sold, coast to coast television specials, and live performances right here in Cincinnati.
