Every year, as a nation, we fail to identify more than one million children, all under the age of five, who have a disability or are at risk for developmental delays. Programs that diagnose and treat these children as early as possible are chronically underfunded. As the largest provider of early intervention services, Easter Seals staff, therapists, and families know what’s possible when kids get the support they need during the first few years of life and also what happens when they don’t.
With the right treatment and therapy before the age of five, we can change that. All kids deserve a chance to learn, build lifelong skills, and achieve their dreams; let’s Make the First Five Count.
