Children’s Tumor Foundation – Cleveland Cavaliers

Nick Gilbert is the 15-year-old son of Cleveland Cavaliers Chairman and Majority Owner, Dan Gilbert. Nick has worn a BowTie the last two years as he represented the Cavaliers at the NBA Draft Lottery.

Nick was born with Neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder of the nervous system, and has successfully and courageously beat the odds and battled the disease his entire life.

Nick served as the 2011 National Children’s Tumor Foundation Ambassador and helped raise more than $100,000 for the cause, including a match by Dan Gilbert.

The BowTie was designed with the Cavaliers organization and proceeds benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation and the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation.

This continues the Cavaliers’ Legacy Project at the Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation where the team built outdoor basketball courts last summer.

25% of the revenue from the sale of each BowTie benefits Children’s Tumor Foundation.
