Each day, the Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati is working to meet human needs. Whether it’s a child that needs a safe and nurturing place to go after school, or a single mother in need of emergency shelter; whether it’s a man struggling with addiction issues in need of hope, or a family at risk of losing their home; whether it’s a low-income senior in need of a loving community to call home, or the victim of a natural disaster; whether it’s a child who could benefit from a summer camp program, or a victim of human trafficking; whether it’s a veteran in need of someone to visit them in the hospital, or a child in need of a book and toy at Christmas – each day, the Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati is working to support, encourage, enrich, and uplift. The Salvation Army’s goal is to improve the lives of those served, and to position each individual to be productive members of our community.
The Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati served nearly 60,000 individuals in 2012 through a vast array of programs and services. To meet this level of need requires a significant amount of support from the local community, including corporate groups, individuals, foundations, church, and civic groups, and many others who step forward to enable our effort. It takes “an army behind the army” to make it happen, including donors and volunteers – it simply can’t be done without those who walk alongside the Salvation Army in their mission and work.
The Salvation Army in Greater Cincinnati is grateful to all those who make their work possible. They make it possible for the organization to fulfill its mission day-after-day.
With your purchase of a scarf, you are not only raising awareness, but $10 will be donated to The Salvation Army.
