Project Haiti Orphanage and Children's Center is about the people of Haiti who are facing ongoing devastation following the earthquake of January 2010. It's about a replicable, resilient model for rebuilding.
There are hundreds of thousands of orphans living in Haiti. Project Haiti will tell many of these children for the first time in their lives they are valued, they deserve to breathe clean air, they have the right to live in comfort and they are cared about - just like any other child, in any other place in the world.
Together with dedicated pro bono design partner HOK, the U.S. Green Building Council is catalyzing the unrivaled passion, expertise and generosity of the green building movement to rebuild this orphanage.
Every story about green building is a story about people.
In partnership with BowTie Cause and as a sign of solidarity, the U.S. Green Building Council Cincinnati Regional Chapter has designed a signature BowTie depicting the official flag and national colors of Haiti.
This specific BowTie has been created to bring awareness and raise funds for Project Haiti. Proceeds from the purchase of each BowTie will go toward the building of the orphanage.
25% of the revenue from the sale of each BowTie benefits U.S. Green Building Council Cincinnati Regional Chapter.
