Excerpt from The Scott Van Pelt Show – 10 April, 2012
Interview with Masters Champ, Bubba Watson
Now you’ve won a major, you’ve won some big tournaments in between…I mean, you’re the 4th ranked player in the world. What do you see as your ceiling, what are you capable of doing in this game?
In the game? My goal is to win 10 times, I’ve always had that goal as a kid, dreamin’ about playing on the PGA Tour, it’s always about winning 10 times. It doesn’t matter what 10 tournaments it is…just winning 10 times. I always thought double digits would be cool, to say I won 10 times instead of 9.
But you know, off the course is where I’m really excited about. I think now with my Masters win, a major win, more influence…more influences on my junior golf tournaments that I hold. More influence on helping junior golf grow. More influence on the First Tee down in Pensacola where I grew up.
Just more influence in charity work in general that I do and I’m associated with…and support of the military. That’s what I’m looking forward to. How much better this is gonna help influence people and hopefully move them into giving back to charity as well.
