Syracuse University is driven by its vision, Scholarship in Action: a commitment to forging bold, imaginative, reciprocal, and sustained engagements with their many constituent communities, local as well as global. SU is a public good, an anchor institution positioned to play an integral role in today’s knowledge-based, global society by leveraging a precious commodity—intellectual capital—with partners from all sectors of the economy: public, private, and nonprofit. Each partner brings its strengths to the table, where collectively we address the most pressing problems facing the community.

Syracuse University is committed to helping students from all walks of life have the most successful college experience possible. But this can’t be done alone. Parents and other family members play a critical role in helping students cope with social and academic challenges of college life.

Project Transition was created to ensure that all SU parents, regardless of socioeconomic status and/or other barriers, have a firm connection to the University and gain the insight and confidence they need to coach, counsel, and cheer their children on to four years of academic success.
