Cincinnati Parks Foundation Scarf
Cincinnati Parks Foundation is committed to building broad-based private/public partnerships supporting the conservation and enhancement of our city’s parks and green spaces.
As Cincinnati Parks Foundation celebrates 20 years, we are reminded of the lives that have been enriched by Cincinnati parks. Ranked as the top urban parks system in the United States, Cincinnati Parks are not only a place for recreational enjoyment, but also instrumental in building community cohesion, boosting property values, improving public health and reducing pollution.
As a committee of Cincinnati Parks Foundation, The Women’s Committee of Smale Riverfront Park was formed ten years ago to support riverfront greenspaces. In order to raise funds and awareness, they created the Hats Off Luncheon.
The Inaugural Luncheon was held on the gravel lot that is now transformed into Smale Riverfront Park, an urban magnet for families throughout the greater Cincinnati region. Visitors to our City marvel at the beauty and features of Smale Riverfront Park. What pride we have seeing the Park on national television during sporting events, including the 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
The Women’s Committee has helped leverage over $45 million for the Park’s capital development. The completion of Smale Riverfront Park is within sight, but our work is not finished. There are two final phases of development, including the wonderful addition of a downtown marina. So, let’s celebrate this ten-year milestone with a momentous push to make this dream a reality.
This year, the Riverfront Rendezvous: The 10th Annual Hats Off Luncheon promises to be a special afternoon with surprises worthy of this milestone.
With your purchase of a scarf, you are not only raising awareness, but $10 will be donated to the Cincinnati Parks Foundation.
