Description
On June 17, 2014, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex lost a treasure when sports personality Richard Durrett died suddenly at 38. Richard was survived by a then-pregnant wife and two small children. Richard’s zest for life and desire to help anyone and everyone led to the establishment of the Do It For Durrett Foundation, as a way to honor his memory and assist working-class families in the Metroplex affected by sudden loss.
The Do It For Durrett Foundation is focused on raising funds for working-class families in the DFW area who have been impacted by a sudden loss. The new non-profit was formed to provide financial support to the family’s surviving members so they can focus on the day-to-day job of moving forward without a loved one. While it’s impossible to make up for the loss, the Foundation’s goal is to ease the burdens that often accompany sudden loss.
With your purchase of a BowTie, you are not only raising awareness, but $10 will be donated to the Do It for Durrett Foundation.
